11.2% increase in Volkswagen passenger car deliveries for January to October 2012

Volkswagen passenger cars brand registered a growth of 11.2 percent from January to October 2012 with sale/deliveries of upto 4.72 million vehicles. In the month of October the brand delivered 501,300 vehicles as opposed to 430,900 vehicles delivered last year. This is an increase of 16.3 percent. According to reports from the sales and marketing division, Volkswagen products were received enthusiastically by customers in markets outside of Europe.

Apart from this the new Golf is set to create a craze with auto buyers after 40,000 advance orders were received by the company prior to its launch. Asia- Pacific region saw growth of 17.2 percent with about 1.89 million units being delivered. Sale in American continents too experienced significant growth with N. America registering and increase of 25.6 percent and S. America registering a growth of 8.9 percent.

The USA markets did well to register a growth of 35.6 percent. Central and Eastern European markets registered significant growth spurts while Western European markets didn’t fare too well during this ten month period. German markets registered a slight growth of 0.6 percent during this period from January to October 2012.
