Top down cream color 1957 Maserati 150 GT Spider auction price estimate £2.5 million

An extremely rare cream colored 1957 Maserati 150GT Spider is scheduled to be auctioned at California. Bidders with extremely large and flowing finances at their disposal only need to venture in as the vehicle has been pegged at £2.5 million. Till date in the hands of a private collector in Europe, Gooding and Company, American auctioneers have received this prized possession and are expecting a host of sports car aficionados from the 1950 to be casting their bids.

The vehicle has incredible 195 hp, weighs 860 kgs and possesses a 2 liter engine. When this car goes up for auction on the 18th and 19th of January 2013 at Santa Monica, California, it will be joined by other vintage vehicles in the form of a 1938 Bugatti 57 C, a 1957 Mercedes- Benz Roadster and a 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra all of which are scheduled for auction.

The cream colored luxury vehicle was originally designed as an A6GCS sports racing car which regaled audience during its hay days. Car specialist Steve Hart has beautifully restored the vehicle which is also called as ‘little rocket’ to its former glory. It still bears its original numbers engine box, gearbox and Grand Prix brakes along with Fantuzzi coachworks.
