1982 Mercedes Benz 380 SL Psychedelic Drive display at 2013 New York Auto Show

The 2013 New York Auto Show scheduled for end of March 2013 will see a mint condition 1982 Mercedes Benz 380 SL on display. Laurence Gartel, digital media artist has given the vehicle a makeover, and brought to life the Psychedelic Drive display. This will be no ordinary vehicle but a colorful 1982 model which still in pristine condition but given a free hand in all the possible colors of the rainbow.

This special model in all its glory will be on display at the Jacob Javits Convention Centre from March 27-31, 2013. This 1970s inspired finish on the classic SL is not the only car painted by Gartel who has also extended the same theme to a Ferrari F430 Scuderia and a Cadillac Fleet. Prior to the New York Auto Show the 380 SL will tour the streets of South Beach Miami.

Gartel has over 35 years of experience in digital art. His works can be viewed at the Museum of Modern Art, Smithsonian Institution, Bibliothque Nationale, Paris, and Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
