General Motors’ stables have been full of activity giving their entire lineup an overhaul. Chevrolet Tavera was the first to be introduced in a new avatar as it was presented at the 2012 Delhi Auto Show. Captiva followed later while Cruse sedan was fitted with a new and enhanced engine. Aveo, Aveo U-VA and Optra models will be retired while a new Sail sedan and Sail U-VA hatchback will be coming in their stead.
Upgraded Beat was recently spotted with a new front bumper and larger grille. Interior high quality updates are also expected. 15” alloy wheels are in the offing specially in the top end variants. Similarities were seen between the upgraded Beat and the Chevrolet Spark which was earlier seen at the New York International Auto Show.
Simultaneously it must be mentioned that Ford Figo and Maruti Ritz – main rivals of the Chevrolet Beat are also seen undergoing rigorous tests with new front fascia and the likes. Beat launch during Diwali will be ideal for the overall success of this vehicle.
