The 2012 Delhi Auto Expo commences today. With the grounds being abuzz with media over the next two days, it comes as no surprise that it'll news about cars and bikes that will be conversation starters all the way till 11th January. With a few launches having already been organized, there'll be no dearth of new vehicles and concepts being showcased today and tomorrow. Of the significant launches and unveilings that have been concluded, the Bajaj RE60 small car that would take on the Tata Nano in the ultra low cost vehicles category stands out.
This apart, the 2012 Fiat Linea sedan and Punto hatchback too have been launched. The event that drew media from worldwide was the Ford Ecosport Compact SUV unveiling. That was quickly followed by a rather novel concept showcasing by Jaguar LandRover with Narain Karthikeyan stepping in as chief guest.
The exciting event of the morning would be the DC super car that will see Amitabh Bachchan grace the stage. A number of car manufacturers are opting for live streaming of their individual launches, apart from counting on increased social media activity to give the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo it's due footage.
