The JK Tyre Volkswagen R Cup is filled with adrenalin and the second half of this championship has started. Ameya Walavalkar is leading the table since the last three rounds and with the conclusion of the first race of Round 4 there seems to be no change in the table standings. Race One of Round Four held at the Madras Motor Race Track saw Ameya clinching his third pole position ahead of Avdumber Hede who came in second.
Ameya Walavalkar finished the race under the two minute bracket with a timing of 1:59:979. This was the first time that the race was completed under the two minute bracket since 2010. Ameya was happy with his performance which enabled him to achieve this milestone. Ameya has been in tremendous form throughout this championship and one will need to have their wits about themselves when they decide to take on the champion for tomorrow’s race.
The drivers are equipped with TSI Race Polo hatchback, which has been instrumental in these races. The car is powered by a 1.4 liter direct injection engine capable of producing power of 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque which is systematically used by the direct shift gearbox within this vehicle.
