Consumer Reports which is the world’s largest product testing organization has submitted its report which provides inclination that the Honda Accord is sure to take the fast road to the top position in its segment. Roomy interiors, fun to drive experience and an impressive fuel economy are the main factors which boosted the Accords image from gloom to glory. As per ratings the new four-cylinder Accord is at the top in its class coming in front of the Sonata and Camry while the V6 variant is competing with likes of the Camry Hybrid and V6 Camry.

The new Accord is powered by a 24 liter Four-cylinder engine which boasts of an impressive fuel economy and variable transmission system which ensures a smooth and comfortable ride. The V6 boasts of a 3.5 liter engine which returns a fuel economy of 26 mpg and comfortably does 0-60 mpg within a short span of 6.3 seconds. The four-cylinder variant returns fuels ratings of 30 mpg overall and 40 mpg on the highway.

In the interiors one can find comfortable seating arrangements for both the driver and passengers. A technology known as Lane Watch system is available in higher end models which alerts the driver to obstacles coming up in the passenger side blind zone area using a camera. Apart from the new Accord, Consumer Reports has also tested Chevrolet Malibu’s mild-hybrid Eco version, 2013 Legacy from Subaru as also the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and Subaru XV Crosstrek SUV variants.
