Honda Fit EV 2013 model has received highest score where Environmental Protection Agency mpg equivalency rating is concerned. The vehicle offers 118 MPGe which according to the company is the highest fuel rating offered by EPA.

But being an electric vehicle this rating and self certification of fuel efficiency does not really mean much. What is outstanding is the fact that the vehicle has a low consumption rating of 28 kWh per 100 miles. Its efficient drivetrain Fit EVs 20 lithium ion battery provides city highway driving range of 82 miles far surpassing EPA efficiency and range rating of Ford Focus Electric, Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i-MiEV.

The FIT EV is available at a price of $36,625 MSRP. There’ll be $7,500 federal tax credit, and onecould opt for a lease payment of $399 a month. To start with, sales will commence around California and Oregon markets with no details regarding availability in all markets as yet.

The efficient design, light weight engineering and effective aerodynamics makes Fit EV stand out from among its competitors. The Fit EV battery can be recharged in less than 3 hours from a low charge indicator point when connected to a 240 V circuit.
