2013 Mahindra South Africa sales best in decade
Mahindra South Africa has reported its annual sales report for the past year. Reporting its best annual sales in a decade, the company attributed these increased sales to various government tenders it had received.
During the past year, Mahindra sold a total of 4056 units in South Africa. This was a 4% increase in sales as per performance in the previous year out of which total government sales for the year were over 200 units.
Mahindra has been building on a strong brand and its recent Rise brand awareness campaign added more impetus to the group. The SsangYong brand which has also been marketed in South Africa since 2012 has been seeing increased attention while the company is actively increasing its dealer networks across cities and towns taking them to a total of 57. The company has also expanded to other sub Saharan countries and exports vehicles to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland and Namibia. (via PTI)
