The Desert state of Rajasthan will be playing host to the 11th edition of Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm that is slated to begin from the 1th of February 2013. This motorsports event is a great deal for people in Rajasthan as it portrays this state as a haven for off road addicts given the vast types of terrain conditions and climatic conditions. With 114 participating rallyists, here’s a tough Indian Motorsports event to win.
The event that begins on 18th February will be hosted over a six day period that will see participants cover about 2,200 kms. Deemed as one of the most challenging motorsport events in India, the of Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm will see individuals start at New Delhi and follow a route that takes them to Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Rann of Kutch before culminating at Jaipur land of the royals. Rallyists include Suresh Rana who is a cross country specialist having won the 8th editions of Raid de Himalayas rally. Apart from the aforementioned event he has also won the Desert Storm rally many times in the past.
