2013 Skoda Octavia caught testing: New Superb Outdoor launched in the UK from £26,465

After a black prototype of the new Skoda Octavia was spotted earlier another car enthusiast captured a silver Skoda Octavia 2013 prototype with hardly any camouflage. The new Octavia will boast of increased space for luggage and passengers as also MQB platform architecture. Its petrol and diesel engine will be similar to those seen within the Volkswagen Golf, Seat Leon and Audi A3. This new variant will be officially revealed online in November while it will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in march next year.

Apart from testing the 2013 Octavia, Skoda has launched a new variant of the Superb in the UK markets at a price of £26,465. The car boasts of 18 inch alloy wheels, molding along the exterior of the car, styled bumpers and aluminum finished accents as also multi function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity features, hill hold control, sunset glass behind B-pillar, monitor for tyre pressure as also heated nozzle washers for windscreen and headlights.

The car is infused with the all wheel drive option and the option of three powertrains which include the 158 hp (160PS) 1.8-liter TSI petrol coupled to a manual gearbox, a 138hp (140PS) 2.0-liter TDI diesel combined with a DSG dual clutch transmission and lastly a 168hp (170PS) 2.0-liter TDI diesel connected to a stick shift.
