2013 Skoda Rapid sketches revealed (Photos)

Skoda Rapid 2013 model was earlier seen while on test. Skoda has now officially revealed the sketches of the 2013 Rapid sedan. From these photos it is apparent that the vehicle in the compact sedan category will have some interesting features both externally and internally.

Skoda has confirmed that the 2013 Skoda Rapid will be launched in European markets before the end of this year with minimum changes while it will be positioned between Fabia and Octavia. The Rapid will also be released into Chinese markets by early 2013.

The Skoda Rapid will ride on to Volkswagen Polo platform and will be offered both in diesel and petrol engines. It will have additional boot capacity of 500 liters. As it is inspired by the MissionL Concept unveiled at the 2012 Frankfurt Motor Show one can expect to see a number of external features borrowed from the MissionL Concept on the 2013 Skoda Rapid.

The engine will be designed on a conventional foundation and not on VW’s new MQB platform. This was decided so as to keep the vehicle pricing as low as possible.
