2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe revealed at 2013 Detroit Auto Show
2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe received its fair share of attention as it made its grand entrance for the first time at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Based on the CS Concept, M6 Gran Coupe is expected to compete with the likes of Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG, E63 AMG and Audi RS7.
This four door sports coupe is powered by 4.4 liter V8 twin turbocharged engine offering 560 hp and 500 lb/ft torque. BMW M6 Gran Coupe will be launched in the US markets by May 2013.
The engine is mated to a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission while no manual options is being offered as is seen in the M5. Sprint capacity from 0 to 60 mph is possible in 4.1 seconds, while the M6 Gran Coupe is fitted with standard 15.7 inch front brake rotors and 15.6 inch rear rotors with six piston metallic blue calipers and a distinctive M logo.
Exteriors of the Gran Coupe are seen with a fastback roofline, aggressive new front air inlets and quad tip dual exhausts. Beneath its roof is a lining of Alcantara simulated suede while distinctive M6 lettering is seen on window sills. M lightweight sports seats are seen with M logos and M6 instrument cluster with red needles occupy a place of pride up front.
