2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra launch on 13th Dec 2012

Scheduled for launch on December 13, 2012, General Motors are excited about their new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. These two trucks will debut at a special press conference being held at the Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac, Michigan. They will be seen for the first time in public at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2013.

Bits and pieces of information have been revealed about these two upcoming trucks, which will be a great deal lighter to offer enhanced fuel economy. Engine options will include a V8 direct injection and variable valve technologies. Insides are more spacious while dash, door panels and touch screen center stack are well designed though chunky. There are the most advanced technologies being offered which include radar based cruise control, lane keep assist and automated city braking.

The GMC gets an aggressively shaped hood with prominent power dome and a three bar chrome grille. Front fenders have a creased and angular look which is also seen in the GMC Terrain crossover. Pricing is yet not revealed and will soon be disclosed by the company.
