2014 Ford Fiesta facelift tech specs, features, mileage, brochure
2014 Ford Fiesta will be launched soon, detailed information for which is officially revealed. Current Fiesta did not sell well over many months, and its new avatar is expected to improve the company’s stand in India.
From the official brochure, we can spot changes / improvements found in 2014 Fiesta. Front fascia gets automatic headlights, new trapezoidal grille and new bumper that comes from Ford global initiative to add a distinctive look. ORVMs have integrated turn indicator lights. Tail lamps are revamped to make it look wider and more clear with LED-look lights; rear bumper gets new chrome strip and reflectors.
Interior gets the trending piano black trim on centre console in place of silver finish in the current Fiesta. Centre console design and button layout as seen in present model as well as in Ford EcoSport is left untouched. Automatic air-con controls, gear knob and steering wheel are also carried over to the new Fiesta. Upholstery gets new premium looking fabric.
Instrument cluster gets new Ice-Blue illumination giving the meters a fresh look. Keyless entry (without having to manually unlock with the remote button) and push start are in use. Cool features in new Fiesta include Ford SYNC and AppLink that lets you control your smartphone with voice command. Emergency assist system is featured.
Ford Fiesta facelift is powered by the same 4 cylinder 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine with SOHC. Maximum power produced is 91 PS at 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 204 Nm is obtained between 2,000 and 2,750 rpm. 5 speed manual transmission is carried over onto the 2014 Fiesta. Petrol variant will not be launched in the foreseeable future.
New Ford Fiesta comes in three variants, Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. Top end variant gets contemporary features like automatic headlamps, electrically foldable ORVM, distance to empty, digital clock, fuel computer, reverse parking sensors, push button start, rain sensing wipers and ambient lighting. Ford SYNC is available only in top spec Titanium trim. Colour options include Golden Bronze, Diamond White, Panther Black, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey and Paprika Red.
