To be launched in a choice of petrol and diesel engines, the new Jazz will feature even more interior space as compared to the older gen Jazz. The petrol engine on new Jazz will be in the form of 1.2l iVTEC generating 88 PS and 109 Nm torque, that is also seen on the Amaze sedan.

To be offered with a five speed manual transmission as standard, Honda Car India might also add a CVT option once the new Jazz is launched. Price could be in the Rs 5-8 lakh bracket. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai i20 and Volkswagen Polo.
