2014 Honda One Make Race Round 3 sees a female rider in Soundari

2014 is Honda One Make Race’ 7th year promoting motorsport in India through a fun riding experience in a controlled environment. The new format tests riders in Novice & Open categories as per individual racing experience. 68 riders participated in 2014 Honda One Make Race Round 3.

CBR 250R category saw 19 CBR 250R motorcycles leased to professional racing teams registered at FMSCI, including Moto Rev, Ten 10, Apex Racing, and ProLap Racing. Honda modified each bike with HRC performance kits. Honda supports participating teams with original spare parts worth Rs 10,000, and a set of race tires replacement. Teams made further modifications to enhance motorcycle performance. Sumit Loucs Toppo from Ranchi won by a 3000th of a second margin. Novice CBR 150R category saw 17 riders qualify for Round 3 of 49 participants. In a first, a local Chennai female rider, Soundari participated.

Participants from Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Raipur, Ranchi, Aizwal, Jalgaon, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Trichy and Aoroville were at Chennai this weekend. Honda also provided CBR 150R with original spares support on lease for Group C and Group D races of ‘National Motorcycle Racing Championship’ to 4 teams, as well as providing CBR 150R’s to MMSC for Group C and Group D classes. racers took him cash prizes as foolws: (1st – Rs. 7500, 2nd – Rs. 5000, 3rd – Rs. 2500).

In conjunction, the Asia Dream Cup sees riders compete for top spot on a CBR250R. Each Honda Company within Asia sponsors 2 riders to participate in Dream Cup. Kumar) to participate in the championship. 6 rounds are to be conducted at Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Qatar & Thailand.

Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said 2014 saw the introduction of 150cc CBR 150R for Novice riders. HMSI will continue to nurture youngsters.
