2014 Infiniti Q50 Sports Sedan at NAIAS, Detroit Auto Show 2013
Infiniti revealed their all new sports sedan, along with their new car nomenclature. The 2014 Q50 will give the brand Infiniti a new global direction for the future, says their President Johan de Nysschen.
To be sold in North America in the summer of 2013, 2014 Infiniti Q50 sports sedan launches in other Infiniti global markets will follow later in the year. Design lines see a double arch grille that flows through the bodyside merging at the rear, making it fluidic. The arch roofline and Crescent-cut C-pillar don’t go unnoticed.
There’s eight premium colors to choose from. The 3.7-liter aluminum-alloy DOHC 24-valve V6 pitches 328 horsepower (est.) and 269 lb-ft of torque (est.). The Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) and Variable Valve Event & Lift (VVEL) do their part. The hybrid 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 with a compact laminated lithium-ion battery design functions with a one-motor/two-clutch motor control. TIt records 296 horsepower (est.) and 255 lb-ft of torque (est.).This powertrain accomodates the Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid™ system with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control.
