2014 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG Sports Saloon ready for Detroit

2014 E63 AMG Sports Saloon is scheduled to make its presence felt at the Detroit Auto Show which will go live next week. The refreshed model will be seen at the Mercedes Benz pavilion along with the CLA compact four door coupe which the company has promised to show case alongside the E Class Saloon, Estate, Coupe and Cabriolet. E63 AMG will be available in a 4MATIC all wheel drive version as well. It will be seen with a number of cosmetic changes both internal and external with a new body kit and redesigned front bumpers featuring massive air vents.

Engine upgrades are not expected as the 2014 E63 AMG will continue to be powered by a 5.5 liter bi turbocharged V8. This engine will be capable of 518 hp at 5250 to 5750 rpm and 516 lb/ft torque at 1750 to 5000 rpm mated to a seven speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission powering its rear wheels. This is what will enable the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.

In a statement, Mercedes Benz revealed, “At the Detroit Auto Show Mercedes-Benz will wait up with the launch of a major model initiative. Not only will we introduce the E-Class Saloon, Estate, Coupé and Cabriolet, but also the E 63 AMG model now available in a 4MATIC version and, of course, the new four-door coupé, the CLA.”
