2014 Mercedes Benz S Class 15th May debut

Mercedes Benz S Class will make its official appearance at Hamburg on May 15, 2013. This luxury model with a long wheelbase is to be seen well defined from current S Class, though it will continue with same dimensions and a number of features. Interiors will see additional importance given to details while safety features will include pedestrian detection and autonomous driving features.

Where engine specifications are concerned, the upcoming S Class will sport a twin turbo V8 and a twin turbo V12 which again continues with the powertrain lineup seen in the current generation model. These engines will have power ranging from 429 hp to over 550 hp. Diesel and hybrid variants are also scheduled to be launched with the hybrid arrangement similar to what was seen in the Vision S500 Plug-in Hybrid Concept which was displayed in 2009.

Safety features will be focus of attention in the new S Class and will include body mounted cameras scanning roads ahead. Night View Assist PLUS system and Magic Body Control are added safety features, while special cabin air purifications systems called Air Balance Package will be offered to filter, ionize and freshen interiors of the Mercedes Benz S Class. 2014 Mercedes Benz S Class is one of the most anticipated cars for 2013.
