Spotted on test near Greater Noida, the upcoming Yamaha FZ-S Concept bears a sharper look than the current FZ and was seen with a dual tone body color with air inlet mounted below the tank and a modified exhaust with circular end at the rear. The model also sports a well designed mudguard with registration plate enclosure and a new tail lamp in a more striking design. It has a new split seat with revised rear panels and grab rails which are thinner.
There will be no engine updates on the new FZ-S Concept as it continues to sport a 153 cc single cylinder engine offering peak power of 14 ps and 13.6 Nm torque, though there is a possibility of a tweak in performance.
Tyres seem to be similar to MRF Revz and carried over from the current FZ, while rear view mirrors also appear to be different from those showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo with thinner rods. No prices have been announced as on date and will be revealed closer to launch scheduled for later this year, probably just ahead of the festive season.
