2015 Audi R8 specifications disclosed
There is still some time to go before the 2015 Audi R8 is launched, but Autocar has received some details of what one can expect…
Extensive use of aluminum structure, a long wheelbase and additional room in the cabin are some of the changes that are expected. R8 will be lighter by 130 lbs due to certain parts being made of a new lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum monocoque. Carbon fiber will also be seen on floor rear bulkhead and B pillars.
R8 will be offered in both V8 and V10 options both resulting in increased power and higher level of fuel efficiency. V8 version will have 450 hp while the 10V will have 550 hp power. Of course the company does have the prerogative of changing its mind on a number of features before the car is ready for markets in 2014. One can expect to see the new 2015 Audi R8 only in 2014 while the roadster version will be out in 2015.
