2015 Ford Figo AT spied with dual tone dashboard in Sanand

Ford India is set to officially commission their new plant in Sanand on 26th March 2015. It is here where both new Figo twins will be manufactured. Just outside the plant, new Figo variants are continuously making test runs.

Spy photographers have managed to flood the internet with numerous spy shots of Ford Figo over the last few weeks. Thanks to them, we now know that Ford India will not only be making the under 4m Figo sedan in Sanand, but also the regular Figo sedan, which is on sale in Brazil as Ka+. This variant is not expected to be launched in India. We also know that LHD variants of new Figo hatchback are being tested along with Indian Figo variants.

Now, for the first time, there are spy shots which reveal that Figo hatchback will also be offered with automatic transmission. 2015 Ford Figo AT variant is expected to be the same 6 speed DCT as seen on Ford EcoSport. The interesting part here is the ‘S’ mode, apart from the regular P, R, N and D modes. This means, Ford Figo AT could come with a sport mode.

The spy shot also reveals ample space to store two 1 litre bottles in the door, chrome rims for left and right AC vents, dual tone beige black dashboard, steering mounted controls, three spoke steering wheel, and beige seats.

On board features will include electrically adjustable wing mirrors, airbags, power windows and Ford SYNC voice command system. Engine options expected are – 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter TDCi diesel engine. 2015 Ford Figo hatchback is expected to be launched by mid 2015 in India. Once launched, it will compete with Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, and Tata Bolt. Price should be in the range of Rs 4.5 to 7 lakhs.
