South Korean automakers, Hyundai will officially launch their 2015 Verna facelift sedan in India today. Based on the company’s Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy, which is also seen on other Hyundai cars, such as the Elite i20 and Santa Fe, witness the Hyundai Verna launch LIVE on your screen.
Called 4S Fluidic Verna, with 4S standing for Style, Safety, Speed and Sophistication, will receive minor tweaks to enhance looks. On the exterior distinctive wing shaped front grille, projector headlamps and new fog lamps are evident while at the rear 2015 Verna facelift receives a new bumper. Chrome handles are seen on doors while the facelift sits on 16” diamond cut alloy wheels.
Interiors of 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift does not seen much change as compared to its current model though the top end variant sports new features such as 6 speaker audio system with 1 GB internal storage and safety features that include 6 air bags, ABS and EBD. Top end variants also receive ambient lighting and perforated light cream coloured leather seats.
Engine specification on the new 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift includes 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter diesel and petrol engines. The 1.4 liter petrol engine is capable of 107 PS power and 135 Nm torque while mileage is pegged at 17.43 kmpl. The 1.4 liter diesel can offer 90 PS power and 220 NM torque with mileage of 24.8 kmpl promised. Where the 1.6 liter petrol engine is concerned, one can expect 123 PS power and 155Nm torque while its 1.6 liter diesel counterpart offers 128 PS power and 260 Nm torque.
The 2015 Verna facelift will compete with Honda City, VW Vento and Maruti Ciaz once launched in the country today while pricing will range between INR 7.30-11.50 lakhs.
