Mercedes C63 AMGmodels will house V8 4.0 litre twin turbo engine shared by upcoming AMG GT. M178 codenamed power plant will generate 510 PS (375 kW) max. power and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) in the latter Merc, while C63 may receive a detuned version. Expect 480 PS (353 kW).
More powerful ‘S’ badged variant is believed to join the C63 AMG lineup. Sharper brakes and tweaked interior, exterior styling will be seen in C63 AMG S. However, both AMG Mercs will not host Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) to keep development cost in check.
Hot new C-Class variant will inherit most cabin features from regular ones, except for AMG specific trims. Mercedes Benz C63 AMG will definitely have taunting front fascia with larger air dams, well pronounced side skirts, quadrangle exhaust tips and customary AMG alloy wheel set.
Both sedan and estate variants will be unwrapped together. Booking for the new Mercedes Benz C63 AMG will commence following world premiere, delivery to begin by April 2015.
