2015 Skoda Fabia dashboard and steering wheel revealed

After revealing the first official exterior images of new Fabia hatchback last week, Skoda Auto now reveals the first image of its interior. This new image reveals Fabia’s clean dashboard design and the photo of Skoda’s first ever MirrorLink technology equipped screen.

This new feature will enable Fabia to connect your smartphone seamlessly. All your apps from the phone, will be displayed on the screen and then it can be controlled from steering mounted controls or the knobs on centre console.

Skoda claims that the 2015 Fabia is a “Perfect everyday companion”. It comes with 17 ‘Simply Clever’, of which 9 are completely new (one of them being MirrorLink technology). Designed to accommodate more, 2015 Fabia offers 330 litres of boot space, which is best in class. With rear seats folded, this space increases to 1,150 litres.

Compared to old Fabia, interior length of new Fabia is increased by 8 mm to 1,674 mm, while elbow room at the front is increased by 21 mm to 1,401 mm. Rear elbow room is increased by 2 mm at 1,386 mm. Apart from this, 2015 Fabia will be more grounded than predecessor as height is reduced by 8 mm and so is the weight, which is reduced by 65 kgs.

Not certain of launch in India, 2015 Skoda Fabia will come in a range of petrol and diesel engines. This will be in the form of new three cylinder 1.0l naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.2l TSI generating 60 PS and 110 PS respectively. Diesel options will be in the form of 1.4l three cylinder mills in two tunes – 75 PS and 105 PS.
