Expected to be built on new Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA platform, the 2016 Innova will retain the existing variant’s)ladder frame chassis. 2016 Toyota Innova will be slightly bigger as compared to the current gen variant. This increase in space will mostly be added to increase boot space of the car.
As seen in the spy shots earlier, the front grille has been designed accordingly with three broad slats. The headlight and foglight housing too has been given a roughly similar shape. The side is slightly redesigned, while the third row window is cut in a way to give the car an overall sloping roof look.
Expected to be launched in a price range of Rs 9-15 lakhs, new Toyota Innova will compete with the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Nissan Evalia and Chevrolet Enjoy. As far as engine options on offer the new Innova, expect a new range of diesel engines which will be more efficient and powerful as compared to the current variant.
