2,336 units of Honda Jazz already sold: June 2015 Sales Report

For the month of June 2015, Honda Cars India registered sales of 18,380 units. This is an increase of 13% as compared to what the company managed to sell in June 2014 (16,316 units).

Honda Jazz will have a localization level of 90%; allowing the company to price the car aggressively.

The boost in sales is due to the new Honda Jazz. Though yet to be launched in India, Honda Cars India have already shipped 2,336 units of new Jazz to dealers across India. These 2,336 units have been accounted in the June 2015 sales of Honda Cars India.

This indicates how strong is the initial demand for new Jazz. Even without official price being revealed, 2,336 units of new Jazz have already been spoken for. Variant-wise features and price of Jazz is to be revealed on 8th July.

Honda Jazz will be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine option. Petrol engine will be mated to a five speed gearbox or a CVT with seven step steering mounted paddle shifters. Diesel engine will be offered with six speed manual transmission. Expect the Jazz to be priced in the range of Rs 5-8.5 lakhs.

Speaking about the performance of other Honda cars during the month of June 2015, it was the City which continues to be their best selling car. In June 2015, Honda City sales stood at 7,187 units. The second best selling Honda car in India for June 2015 is Amaze with sales of 6,834 units. This was followed by Jazz at 2,336 units, Mobilio at 1,043 units, Brio at 923 units and CR-V at 57 units.

This takes HCIL domestic sales figure for June 2015 to 18,380 units. Exports of the company stood at 350 units, which is a decline of 52.6% as against 739 units exported in the month of June 2014.
