Following its global launch, the B-Class saw immediate success with over 75000 units being sold in just a few months of launch. The vehicle possess enhanced safety features which include 7 airbags and a knee bag which is yet to be seen in any vehicle in its segment, Attention Assist, Anti lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Program, Acceleration Skid Control and Brake Assist System while also including a special tyre pressure loss warning indicator making it the safest Sports Tourer in existence today.
Mercedes Benz have announced that their new B Class will be available in two variants B180 and B 180 Sport with ex showroom prices commencing at Rs.21.49 lakhs extending upwards to Rs.24.87 lakhs for the sports variant. Fuel efficiency will stand at 14.81kmpl making it one of the most fuel efficient cars in its segment. Mercedes Benz will assemble their B Class from their company plant in Pune India sometime in 2013. It is from here that the company also assembles C E and S Class models.
