DC Design, India’s most famous after-market car customizer, DC Design is entering into car production. At the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, they will give the keys to the first owners of their first car, Avanti. Apart from this, the firm which is headed by Dilip Chhabria will also unveil two new models at the 2014 Auto Expo. One of them, is now teased.
Within a compact space, one would think that’s a job well done if it’s the 5 seat Ford Ecosport you’re looking at. Then DC Design steps in and reworks a perfectly workable car, and voila, now you have a 4 seat urban SUV.
At the Scania India plant inauguration in Naraspura near Bangalore, there was one special bus. Designed by India’s most famous car/bus customizer, DC, the MetroLink B11R was nothing like anything the Indian luxury bus segment has seen till date.
DC Design, the noted car modifiers have turned their attention to the Nissan Evalia. The Nissan Evalia is transformed to a six seater vehicle with a special Lounge Package with four facing seats behind the driver and co-driver’s seat, and a powered moon roof at a price of Rs 3.95 lakhs.
Scania Commercial Vehicles India, a subsidiary of Swedish major Scania has officially launched their first Scania Super Luxury Intercity Coach in India. The bus’ interiors are designed by DC Design. Delivery of this first luxury bus will be taken by Surat based Siddhi Vinayak Logistics Limited (SVLL). These bus will be assembled at the Scania factory near Bangalore.
Mercedes-Benz A-Class is DC Design’s latest muse. The compact luxury runs on a 7G-DCT automated 7 speed Dual Clutch Transmission and has an unmistakable sheen that compliments the hatchbacks distinctive radiator grille glimmering with 302 diamond resembling pins.
One of the most famous car customization company in India, DC Design has announced the opening of their new showroom in Pune. This new DC showroom/workshop will open officially on the 22nd July 2013. Apart from this, they have also announced a new contest on Facebook, Be the next DC, which gives you a chance to design a car that will be showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in January next year.
Hyundai Elantra has been given a makeover by DC Design, which is evident right from its new front grille to air intakes seen under its headlights. The grille is in a new honeycomb design fitted with the DC badge while the front end of the Elantra also sports a new pair of fog lamps. From the look of it, the customized version looks gone overboard. What do you think?
Nissan Sunny offers best in class interior space (remember the CAAAR ad?). This space has now been put to very good use. DC Design has completely modified and improved internal cabin area of the Nissan Sunny (or Versa in some countries) sedan, stating that comforts offered are on the same level as one would expect to see in a vehicle ten times its price.
DC Design, the car design firm of Dilip Chhabria is all set to turn into a full fledged car manufacturing firm by 2014. DC Design will invest Rs 60 crores and setup their new manufacturing facility at Sanand in Gujarat.
