With support from Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, Tech Expo spanned 5 days and found support in Ford, Fiat Chrysler, Cummins, Kohler, Polaris and tier I companies from in and around of Indianapolis.
32 India delegates from 20 member companies attended the event that saw about 800 visitors. Harish Lakshman, President, ACMA said such an initiative enhance business opportunities with OEMs overseas, and more such expo’s are planned to tap into growth opportunities.
The development is expected to aid International Purchase Officers (IPOs) who are on the lookout for cost effective procurement solutions. Tech Expo facilitated direct interaction between OEMs and Tier I manufacturers.
ACMA is making inroads for Indian auto component manufacturers in markets beyond India having participated at the Automechanika Dubai 2014 along with its 46 members. Automechanika Middle East is an important automotive trade show in United Arab Emirates featuring workshop equipment, bodywork and paintwork, car wash, IT & management, tyres and batteries. This year the expo saw 1,695 exhibitors from 59 countries.
