After Stile MPV, Ashok Leyland to launch Dost Express, Dost Ambulance, Partner LCV and bus
Ashok Leyland Stile was launched earlier this month with Mahindra Singh Dhoni in presence. With a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh, Ashok Leyland aims to sell 1000 units of Stile every month. And, to cash-in on the upcoming festive season, Ashok Leyland has revealed that they will launch three more vehicles in the next few weeks.
V Sumantran, VC, Ashok Leyland said that these new launches are sure to get some excitement in the auto market, apart from increasing sales for the company. The Hinduja Group company has lost share in the LCV segment as Sep 2013 sales report reveals their share is down by 16.85% compared to same month previous year.
Apart from keeping their hold in the LCV segment, Ashok Leyland has also partnered with Nissan, which has resulted in Stile MPV. It is based on Nissan Evalia MPV. The 7-8 seater Stile is being produced from the Nissan plant in Oragadam, Chennai. It comes in with a diesel engine and will be sold from a total of 130 company outlets in the country. It is ideally suited for use both in rural and urban areas and will serve suitable for use as hotel shuttles, taxi services and for ambulances and courier services.
Stile is powered by an advanced Common Rail Diesel engine offering best in class fuel efficiency at 19.5 kmpl. The MPV displays outstanding performance and comfort while interiors are fitted with superior ergonomics. Seating is offered in options of 2 and 3 rows with sufficient space for both occupants and luggage with dual air conditioning vents for effective cooling at the rear.
