Alfa Romeo Giulia is powered by a Ferrari developed twin turbo V6 engine capable of 510 hp peak power. This allows the new Alfa to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds, making it faster and more powerful than the Mercedes AMG C63 or BMW M3.
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio sports an aggressive front fascia, mesh grill and Active Aero Splitter enabling better management of downforce at higher speeds while better grip is also guaranteed. At the front, sleek headlights, new front fender vents and a ventilated hood are evident while at the rear aerodynamic side skirts and distinctive character lines can be seen.
A trunk mounted spoiler, rear diffuser and four tail pipe exhaust system also forms a part of its exterior makeup. Extensive use of carbon fiber is seen in the makeup of hood, roof and propeller shaft while aluminum components and torque vectoring system add it its lighter weight and enhanced performance.
Based on the Alfa Romeo’s Project Giorgio platform and sharing a number of components with the Maserati Ghibli, Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan is designed for drive comforts giving drivers an exhilarating driving experience with state of the art steering, responsive acceleration and instantaneous shifting and braking. Passenger comforts are also offered where quality, safety and comforts are concerned while the car boasts of the longest wheelbase in its class enhancing interior space.
The Giulia is slated to make its way into company showrooms sometime next year. The base models will come with an entry level four cylinder petrol and diesel engines, with prices starting at $70,000 (INR44,53,431) while top of the range variant will be priced well over the $150,000 (INR 95,43,067) mark.
