The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo
The inimitably stylish appearance of the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is accentuated by a powerfully formed front end, a stunningly stretched silhouette with coupé-style roofline, frameless side windows and a flowing rear end with large load aperture.
An active rear spoiler – the first of its type on a BMW – provides visual lightness and reduces lift at touring speeds. It is automatically deployed at 110 km/h and retracted at speeds below 70 km/h. When deployed at high speeds, the spoiler increases downforce on the rear axle and ensures perfect directional stability when driving fast.
Another very distinctive new BMW introduction are the so-called Air Breathers integrated elegantly into the vehicle’s flanks, which reduce turbulence in this area and reduce the car’s aerodynamic drag.
Everything in the interior is generously proportioned and ensures first-class comfort. The fine-wood interior trim with Pearl Chrome accent lines and countless chrome inlays, create an exclusive atmosphere that blends seamlessly into the exquisite overall design.
‘Space is an essential part of true luxury’ – One of the outstanding features of the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is its impressive spaciousness, which together with the high seating position, makes it perfect for long trips. The Panorama glass roof proves that even the most generous interior can be made to appear even more spacious.
The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo also provides a generous 520-litre luggage compartment which can easily be expanded to up to 1,600 litres thanks to a 40/20/40-split rear backrest with fold-down headrests. With the electrically operated tailgate as a standard feature, the large, wide rear door opens and closes at the touch of a button.
The 2.0 litre BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel engine combines advanced CommonRail direct injection with innovative turbocharger technology to develop an output of 135 kW/184 hp and an impressive torque of 380 Nm. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/hr takes 7.9 seconds and top speed is 226 km/h.
The eight-speed automatic transmission performs smooth, almost imperceptible gear shifts. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.
The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo with state-of-the-art safety features provides maximum support in any situation with six air bags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control, Electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor, Side impact protection and impact absorbing front and rear bumpers.
The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo also features the BMW Driving Experience Control switch, which enables the driver to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions. (Comfort, ECO PRO and Sport).
With BMW EfficientDynamics, the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is equipped with the most comprehensive technology packages to reduce fuel consumption and increase driving dynamics – such as Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Automatic Start/Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration, Electric Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution and many other innovative technologies.
The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo has a plethora of BMW ConnectedDrive driver assist systems and services. These include BMW iDrive (the on-board Driver Information System), 16.5 cm colour Central Information Display, Connectivity through Bluetooth and USB devices, HiFi loudspeaker system and BMW Live.
