Ameya Walavalkar extends lead with win in round 5 of Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2012

Ameya Walavalkar extended his lead for the Volkswagen polo r cup 2012 championship with win in race 1 and second place finish in Race 2 of the 5th round of the event being held at MMRT in Chennai. During the first race, Ameya was lucky as he managed a good start which catapulted him to the first position ahead of Avdumber Hede and Saurav Banyophadya who came in second and third respectively.

Ameya completed the first race within a time span of 20.58.528 enabling him to capitalize on the time gap. Happy with his performance in the race, Ameya expressed his thanks to the whole of the Volkswagen motorsports team who made it possible for him to cruise to the finish without any difficulties.

During the second race Rahil Noorani came in first with Ameya coming in second and Vishnu Prasad third. Rahil completed the race within a time frame of 20.31.102. Scuffle on the race track between drivers vying for the third place saw Vishnu and Avdumber losing out on their positions. Taking advantage of this situation, Ameya saw it fit to move up the order and capitalized on a second place podium finish.
