And you thought Maruti van is only a family car #burnout (Videos)
Maruti Van or Omni, the first car in India which made it easier for large families to travel together. First launched 1984, the car still exists with hardly any major changes applied to the body or the engine. Used only as a passenger or a cargo carrier till date, the video here shows a new purpose of the beloved family car.
At the Brasher Nats 2013, an annual event in Sydney, participants show their burnout skills. Usually, participants come with hefty muscle cars to show their skills. But this one guy in particular, decided to come in a Maruti Van (also known as Suzuki Carry). At first everyone in the crowd, seems apprehensive. But once he starts showing what the car (or rather he) can do, everyone watches in amazement.
He continues the burnout till there are sparks coming off the wheels. And once he is out of the car, there is a thundering applause from the crowd. One of the comments in the video says, “it was working better than any LS V8 in ages.”¬†We are not sure what modifications he applied. Usually the car comes with a 800 cc 3 cylinder petrol engine generating 37 bhp and 62 Nm torque. Watch the burnout videos below.
