Apollo Acti tyres for scooters and motorcycles launched in India

At a national press conference in Delhi today, Apollo Tyres announced the launch of Apollo Acti range of two wheeler tyres for scooters and motorcycles in India. This is the first time Apollo Tyres, one of the leading tyre manufacturer in the world, has entered into the two wheeler tyre space in India. As they were only present in the commercial and passenger vehicle segment until now.

Apolo Acti range has been developed at their R&D center in Chennai. It took our team two years of hard work to come up with the best possible two wheeler tyres for Indian road conditions, says Apollo Tyres.
Why the need to enter two wheeler space? Apollo Tyres says that two wheeler tyre industry is growing rapidly in India and forecast suggests that it will continue to grow even further in the coming years. Launching two-wheeler tyre range will not only allow Apollo Tyres to serve a wider range of customers, but will also allow them to increase their presence in the country.

Apollo Tyres say that their new Acti range of tyres are built with the sole purpose of providing seamless and enjoyable riding experience to their customers. As per Apollo, Acti tyres are designed with primary focus on comfort, safety and grip. At the same time, they offer excellent braking in dry and wet conditions, along with superb grip and high speed cornering performance.

Apollo Acti is made with polymers-based high mileage tread compound. They are available as tubeless and with tube type with stress free casing structure.

Apollo Acti tyre range is further divided into front scooter tyre, rear scooter tyre, front motorcycle tyre and rear motorcycle tyre. As each of them have a special purpose.

Apollo Acti Motorcycle Front Tyres

A total of 3 patterns are launched in this. actiSTEER F1 in straight rib pattern, actiZIP F2 and actiZIP F3 in directional patterns. These patterns lay maximum emphasis on handling and overtaking, along with braking, stability and comfort.

Apollo Acti Motorcycle Rear Tyres

These are also available in 3 patterns. actiGRIP R1 and actiGRIP R2 in block pattern, and actiZIP R3 in directional pattern. Compared to the front tyre, rear tyres play a more important role which is why Apollo has optimally oriented grooves and tread blocks on their new rear tyres.

The block pattern designs of actiGRIP R1 and actiGRIP R2 are for applications like off-road, different climatic conditions of urban or highway, etc. Whereas the actiZIP R3‘s directional pattern is best suited for high speed biking on highways.

Apollo Acti Scooter Tyres

Apollo has launched a total of for new front and rear tyres for scooters in India. Apollo actiZIP S1 and actiZIP S2 are two directional patterns for front and rear tyres while actiGRIP S3 and actiGRIP S4 are two block patterns for rear scooter tyres.

Directional patterns offer a more precise steering control, excellent grip and cornering stability whereas block pattern offers superior traction on all terrain applications.
