HI, I am planning to take a car with in range of Rs.4.5 to 6 lacs. My avg daily running will be 55 to 60 kms (70:30 - City: Highway). Which car is good in this segment. Please suggest which variant i should prefer Petrol or diesel? Which will be better Maruti Swift (2010 model - K series - 1.2cc) or Chevrolet Beat?

Well,If you have such a budget, there is no reason to go for "Beat" over "Swift". Swift is better on mileage, engine and seating capacity.

I recommend ZXI as you get all what you should have in a car without paying for stupid bells and whistles.

    YES !!! SWIFT is always better over a beat. Better leg room better comfort..more mature interiors...and the K series engine which is more efficient.
