A source from South says there’s about 21 units of the Hyundai i20 available across dealerships in Tamil Nadu, with numbers tipping the scale for petrol variants. Of these, Asta variants on offer are limited to 4-5 in number. An enquiry for i20 Magna petrol too resulted in a limited availability response.
Across new gen Hyundai i20 variants, buyers will pay more that what current i20 owners have and new i20 diesel top end price is expected to be around the Rs 9 lakh range. While i20 stock lasts, Hyundai is offering an assured holiday package (free air ticket and hotel stay) for a couple to an exotic location to amount to savings of up to Rs 71,000.
New Hyundai i20 is expected to be launched sooner than expected. Seen testing on a number of occasions, new Hyundai i20 will reportedly be called Grand i20, as it will be bigger than the outgoing variant. Engine options will continue to be the same as 1.2l Kappa petrol generating 83 PS, and 1.4l diesel offering 90 PS. Both, auto and manual transmission options will be on offer. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of New Volkswagen Polo, Punto Evo Facelift, and yet to be launched Honda Jazz.
