Aston Martin Aspire Android phone available for $US1300

All that glitters is not gold and this stands true when it comes to the Aston Martin Aspire. Following in the footsteps of Porsche and Ferrari, Aston Martin too has revealed their new smartphone at recent launch in Hong Kong. The new Aston Martin Aspire may have an amazing finish but it is its internal performance that is left wanting.

It may carry the name and brand of a famous car manufacturer but does not live upto its namesake’s luxury or performance. In fact it is a low end smartphone. It possesses a 3.2 inch HVGA screen, 800 MHz single core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing, 3G and Wi-Fi, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

The phone is available in a choice of five colors – black, white, silver, gold and rose gold and prices vary from a low of $1290 for the first three versions to $1590 for the last two which is top of the line and dipped in pure 24 K gold. Aston Martin Aspire may look expensive due to its specifications, but it is just a mid to entry level smartphone. The phone comes in its own leather pouch with Aston Martin headphones and two 1500mAh batteries. Set to be available in Hong Kong markets, it is still not sure whether this phone will see light of day in the western countries.
