Aston Martin lands atop Burj Al Arab: 100th Anniversary Editions announced
Aston Martin celebrated its 100th anniversary on January 15, 2013. Celebrating this milestone, the company announced 100 examples of each of its model lines and also landed the 2013 Vanquish atop the Burj Al Arab via helicopter.
All these special Centenary Editions are to be individually numbered while exteriors will receive distinctive paint finishes. Aston Martin wing badges with Trans Flux enamel inlay and special Aston Martin hallmark will be seen on exteriors. Interiors will be done up in Deep Soft black leather with contrasting silver stitching. Head rest wings will be seen in special silver thread embroidery while sterling silver sill plates will bear the Aston Martin hallmark.
A unique collection of free gifts to honor Aston Martin centenary celebrations will also be offered to buyers of Special Centenary Edition Aston Martins. These will include a presentation box containing two glass keys, two bespoke key pouches made of leather and matching the vehicles upholstery, solid silver cuff links with an Aston Martin script, silver Rollerball pen and Bang & Olufsen headphones.
Dr Ulrich Bez, CEO, Aston Martin, said, “Clearly, the centenary of Aston Martin is a great occasion for our business, our customers, and our fans around the world. It is only right, then, that we have developed these exceptional Centenary Edition models which will, I am sure, quickly become highly desirable and sought-after. The chance to own and enjoy such a stunning piece of Aston Martin’s heritage is made all the more rare by the fact that we are limiting numbers to just 100 of each model line. I am sure supporters and enthusiasts of the brand worldwide will be anxious to secure their chosen model quickly!”
Speaking about landing the 2013 Vanquish on top of Dubai’s famous Burj Al Arab seven star hotel, he says, “It is with great pride that we continue our centenary celebrations in such unique manner in the city of Dubai. Today we are achieving another world first – one of many for Aston Martin over the years. This is a true feat for Aston Martin and a fantastic way to begin a new century of global success for our iconic brand.”
