At the recently held Audi production Award competition there were 70 entries from 20 countries which were judged by an expert panel of judges who unanimously declared Kaiserslautern University of Technology team as the winner of the contest. The award and prize money of €12,500 was handed over to team members Katharina Mura, Dominic Gorecky and their Professor Detlef Zühlke by spokesman for the Predevelopment and Innovation team in Audi Production.

Taking into consideration the Audi motto of ‘People in production’ contestants had to answer questions which revolved around, ideals like emotion, passion and competence in production. Based on the creative and innovative answers provided by the winning team they were selected for the €5,000 grand prize. Apart from the quizzing contestants were treated to a presentation titled ‘Generation Y’ and an Audi driving experience too.

Through this platform Audi encourages scientists and visionaries to come up with innovative ideas for production and share them amongst one another. Other teams that made an impression on judges during the event are the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, team from TU Dresden and a team made up of members Maria Kösterke and Ralf Schäfer. These three teams won prizes for their concepts of implementation of productive games, advanced flexibility in work time management and a concept which is based on characteristics seen in an Audi employee.
