The annual event where DEKRA awards the Best in all Classes to the best of vehicles saw Audi A4 receive the prestigious award for the year 2011. This is the fourth time in succession that the award has been picked up by Audi. Audi A4 saw the lowest fault rate and received a top ranking while Audi A6 was in third place.
This system of judging performance of vehicles was introduced in 2008 and all major brands vie for top spot in DEKRA rankings. The car with least number of faults has always been Audi with Audi A6 being a topper in the past 3 years and only to be replaced by another Audi A4 this year.
DEKRA testing experts scrutinize vehicles for quality and safety and inspect 15 million cars in eight categories every year. DEKRA sets tough standards for cars to be inspected in three mileage classes for each vehicle. The model which comes up to standards in best average for all three mileage classes is honored with the prestigious Best of all Classes award.
