Autobytel have announced that both Audi A7 and R8 are the recipients of two Car and Truck of the Year Awards. These awards are awarded to auto companies based on originality, uniqueness and progress. Audi A7 received the award for 2012 luxury car of the year, R8 Spyder was selected as this year's convertible of the year.
5 door Audi A7 with its 3.0 liter TFSI V6 engine offering 301 hp and 325 lb/ft torque is a stylish and sporty car and is the company's first offering with Wi-Fi and Audi Connect including Navigation with 3D Google Earth. Its highly developed MMI touch pad, display screen and display showcase Audi A7 as a car par excellence and sets it apart where performance, handling and efficiency are concerned.
Audi R8 Spyder was also seen as a work of art. This high performance sports car with a 4.2 FSI Quattro engine offers 430 hp and the 5.0 FSI Quattro engine offers 525 hp. Its body is all aluminum which contributes to its light weight. A hydraulic motor ensures that the soft top opens and shuts in a matter of 19 seconds even while cruising at 50 km per hour.
