Audi India 29% sales growth in February 2013. German car maker AUDI reported an increase of 29% in its sales (775 vehicles) for Feb 2013 as compared to last years figures (600 units).

Audi IndiaGerman car maker AUDI reported an increase of 29% in its sales (775 vehicles) for Feb 2013 as compared to last years figures (600 units). AUDI’s SUV range has helped to boost sales in the country as its Q3, Q5 and Q7 models have been greatly appreciated by individuals all over.

The company also launched the new Q5 and R8 models in January 2013. Current budget announcements have made it clear that prices of SUV’s will be hiked thereby prompting car manufacturers to pass on cost incurred to customers. AUDI is doing very well in India as it has completed its five year investment plan last year. It’s now considering plans for its next five year plan details of which are yet to be finalized. The new Audi Q3 petrol SUV with 2.0L TFSI was launched at a price of Rs 27.37 lakhs.

AUDI also plans on local assembly of its Q3 model at the Aurangabad plant which has a capacity of 12,000 cars annually. Improved dealership networks and superior customer sales and after sales services being provided by this brand have enabled it to do well in the midst of current market conditions.

In other news, the latest Bollywood persona to buy a new Audi is Bipasha Basu who purchased the Audi Q7. Last week, the German automaker introduced a range of sporty & stylish bags here. This included messenger bags, backpack, sports bag, travel bag and garment bag. Available at Audi dealrships, the neew range comes at a price between Rs.3,999 to Rs. 15,799.
