Audi India sells 1081 more cars than Mercedes-benz in January-June 2013

Audi India has reported healthy double digit sales growth for the year-to date at 21%. Mercedes-Benz too has established the same with double digit growth at 16.38% for 2013 Jan – June. Audi sales stand at 4846 luxury cars when compared to 4000 cars sold for the same period last year.

Mercedes-Benz India has sold 3765 luxury cars for the 1st 6 months of 2013 as compared to 3235 cars for Jan-June 2012. For June 2013, Audi sold 750 units in the luxury Indian auto market. This equates to 4% sales growth when compared to 718 cars sold in June 2012.

Timely launches is of primary focus to both German automakers here. Audi will be expanding their sales network here to 34 dealerships by year end. The new Audi RS 5 Coupé launch today brings the V8 engine facelift in for a price of Rs 9,528,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).
