Audi, Mercedes Bens and BMW have all increased their foothold in China in the recent past. Chinese business men and government officials favor Audi A6L long wheel base vehicles. Last year the company sold 313,036 cars in both Chinese and Hong Kong markets and recorded an increase of 37% over their previous year’s figures which are even higher than what Audi recorded in German and US markets.
A6L, Q7 and A8L listed among Audi’s most desired vehicles and Mr. Peter Schwarzenbauer, Board Member of Audi for Sales and Marketing said that the year 2011 was a record year for the company during which they have increased their customer base besides setting a new sales record in overall global markets. Audi is even planning a new factory in Forshan, China which will be completed by 2013 with a capacity of 150,000 to 200,000 cars per annum.
