Country's largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki registered their highest ever sales made in a single month. Maruti Suzuki sold 1,04,791 units in August 2010, an increase of 23.56% when compared to last year's August sales figures.
General Motors registered an increase of 34% in their sales figures for this month. GM India managed to sell 7941 units as compared to 5939 units they sold last year for the same month.
Tata Motors sold 65,938 units in the month of August 2010. With an increase of 32% in sales from last year's figures, Tata Motors also managed to increase their export figure by 92% this month.
With the launch of Figo, Ford India has registered a threefold increase in their August 2010 sales figures. Selling 7925 units, Ford has already received 34000 advance booking for Figo.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors have also bettered their sales figures by 26% by selling 6261 units compared to 5045 units sold last August.
Mahindra & Mahindra have sold 28903 units this previous month as compared to 22413 sold same month last year. Mahindra Tractors have also registered an increase of 26% in August 2010.
