With the conclusion of the Auto Expo 2010, one can only fathom the growing popularity of cars in the Indian auto market, which boasts of over 2 million visitors who championed many a launch from various leading manufacturers. Ever since its inception, the expo has been growing at rapid pace.

Recession certainly wasn’t a dampener at this event with the launch of 25 new vehicles, many of which bore an international name. The success of the expo simply strengthens the sentiment that India is truly a global manufacturing hub of the decade. Of course, the Indian auto market is yet to grow as the country averages 9 cars per 1000 people as compared to the our Chinese counterparts who are at a treble.

As an emerging auto hub, India is doing well because of low cost factors, and great innovation and design. The Indian auto market boasts of a CAGR of 30% & the figures reached an astounding 52% in the last fiscal. This biennial extravaganza saw exhibits from 2,105 entities.
