Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS fitted with a BMW S1000RR’s rear tyre

Every now and then, we come across motorcycle mod-jobs which are worth noticing. Here is one such mod-job where the owner of Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS has completely over-hauled his bike so that he could replace the rear tyre.

One proud owner of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS in Costa Rica, has replaced the rear tyre of his motorcycle with that of a tyre from a BMW S1000RR! We are not sure whether this was a performance upgrade, or just that he loves fatter rear tyres more than the standard ones.

In order to accomodate the fatter 190 section rear tyre, the chain sprocket system has been completely revised. It now has a single sided custom swing-arm, and a custom exhaust system. Have a look at the bike in the images below.

Pulsar or Aprilia

In addition to the Pulsar with fat rear tyre, there is yet another 200 NS which has caught out attention. This modified Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS in Indonesia caught our attention because it tries too hard to pass as an Aprilia.

While the compact naked motorcycle is no match for the sharp looking Aprilia Tuono, one has to appreciate the modifier’s attempt at matching the aesthetics. The spruced up Pulsar adopts the silver, red and black livery that mimics Aprilia’s default color theme.

The modifier even went on to give the Pulsar 200 NS a trellis chassis like element which appears to be non-structural (it’s there only to enhance the aesthetics). However, this undertaking is not purely cosmetic. The 200 NS’ regular telescopic front fork has been replaced by a sturdy WP invertedĀ telescopic fork.

The motorcycle also sports fatter rims and tyres, large double front discs and a custom silencer with small twin canisters. Other noteworthy enhancements include auxiliary LED lights, new handlebar grips, a sharp belly pan, new radiator shrouds and blacked out turn indicators.

Limited Edition Puslar 200 NS

At a dealer meet in Turkey, Bajaj Auto announced two new motorcycles – 200 NS FI and 160 NS oil cooled. Now, ahead of the new motorcycles get launched, Bajaj Cambodia unit has announced the launch of limited edition Pulsar 200 NS.

The limited edition Pulsar 200 NS in Cambodia gains new livery and cosmetic updates. There are no changes in the engine specs. As far as changes made to the livery is concerned, the LE Pulsar 200 NS now comes with White body colour with red alloys and Blue colour with silver alloys. The white Pulsar also gets red accents while Blue Pulsar gets white accents. The 199.5 cc carbureted single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine produces 23.17 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
